Kitty Hawk Chapter President and Past President
Congratulations on a great chapter year. The Kitty Hawk Chapter has achieved Platinum level recognition for the 2019 – 2020 year. This recognition is based from the information your chapter submitted in the Chapter Operations Management Tool (COMT) of 6/30/2020.
The work that goes into achieving this level of success is impressive and greatly appreciated by ASSP. This year provided a new challenge and you adapted to the realities this situation created to protect the health and well-being of your members and local communities. Your efforts benefit your chapter members and the safety profession as a whole.
Your chapter is listed on the Chapter Recognition page of the ASSP website and includes the chapter president for 2019-2020.
Again, congratulations on your accomplishment, and thank you for your work in providing accessible, face-to-face opportunities for ASSP members to become better safety professionals.
Sr. Manager Communities
August 2020 Community Outreach
Over the past few years, we’ve had a lot of fun volunteering at the food bank, and our food drive was a great tool to raise awareness about hunger in our community.
This year we are boosting our impact! We are having a virtual food drive to minimize risk of exposure to infection and avoid those last minute scheduling conflicts.
Members can use this link to make an online donation in the amount they choose and any hour of the day.
Every dollar donated provides food for six meals to The Food-bank’s network of food pantries, community kitchens, shelters and Kids Cafés®.
How did you hear about the Foodbank– ASSP Kittyhawk
Monthly meetings have been moved online until the current situation has subsided. In the mean time, links to meetings can be found in the registration page for the meeting.
Thank you for your cooperation,
Kittyhawk Leadership Team
Donors can establish a named academic scholarship or professional education grant fund through the ASSP Foundation. Scholarships and grants advance the safety profession and provide national recognition for the donor. The Foundation manages the administrative details of this program and works with the donor to provide qualified award recipients each year.
